Will JAMB Accept Awaiting Result in 2021 Registration?

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board in a statement made by The Head of Public Affairs and Protocol Dr. Fabian Benjamin announce that institutions will no longer accept students applying to study in their establishment using awaiting results.

Over the years, institutions admitted students based on merits, and this has proved a wrong move as many of such admitted students end up with non-qualified 0’levels results. And in contrast, this move has denied many qualified candidates the opportunity to gain admission instead.

Nonetheless, The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board proposed a solution that, as they will not wait for other examination bodies to release their results before commencing with their examination exercise, they have made the system flexible so such examination bodies like (NECO) can send in their results to their portal once released. Also, according to reports from the JAMB admission office, candidates have been provided with a room to update their O’levels results on the JAMB portal once their result is out. But all this must be done before the Post UTME exercises commence.
